The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has disconnected power to Accra Academy Senior High School (SHS) at Kaneshie over debts owed.

It is not immediately known how much the school owes.

However, ECG officials is said to have cut the power on Monday afternoon.

The entire campus plunged into darkness as of 08:40 pm on Monday, February 19, 2024.

A teacher who spoke under the condition of anonymity expressed grave concerns about the situation.

“Today is the saddest day in my life as a teacher with over 31 years of experience. I have never witnessed anything like this before. We received a call that ECG officials were on campus to disconnect the school due to some indebtedness.

“What pains me is that the teachers staying on campus, who use prepaid meters, have also been disconnected. Currently, we have about 3,000 students in school, and this is the situation we find ourselves in. If something happens to any of the students, who will be held responsible?” he told Accra-based Citi News.

Students and teachers who reside on campus he disclosed are frustrated by the development.

He has therefore appealed to ECG to restore power for their safety and adverse impact on teaching and learning.

“We called the officials, and they insisted that they were following orders from above to disconnect us due to the amount we owe. We don’t even know the exact amount, and we are not the ones supposed to pay it.

“Despite our efforts to prevent this situation, they never listened. I appeal to the ECG leaders to consider the students. I urge them to come back and take the necessary steps,” he pleaded.

A yet-to-be-identified man based in Techiman in the Bono East region is currently making waves on social media after he invented a helicopter from a Daewoo Matiz car.

In the video, the vehicle was re-shaped into a helicopter with its long tail and propeller in place.

The tyres of the vehicle have been removed and replaced with a landing skid.

The inventor also fitted the interior of the car with seats that resemble those of a helicopter coupled with a cyclic pitch control that will the pilot to steer.

A group of Ghanaian fishermen have earned the admiration of many with a replica of the biblical Noah’s Ark they made from scratch.

Blogger, SikaOffical shared videos of their ambitious journey in a post on X formerly Twitter.

It is not clear how long it took these men to build the huge boat but their first video came public on January 29, 2024.

With little details about the community, the video captured many men believed to be fisherfolks carefully put the masterpiece together.

A new video on Friday, February 16 captured a neatly designed and painted boat being set sail as bystanders applauded their efforts.

In a bizarre turn of events, a man has been apprehended after attempting to gain unauthorized entry into the female hostel at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) by disguising himself as a woman.

Reports indicate that, this is not the first time the individual has been caught engaging in such behavior.

Despite being apprehended for a similar offense previously, he was released following pleas on his behalf.

According to eyewitnesses, the man was discovered wearing a long dress and a scarf in an attempt to blend in with the female students.

However, his disguise did not fool the authorities, who promptly apprehended him.

Upon being caught, the man reportedly received slaps from the authorities. The reason behind his decision to impersonate a woman remains unclear.

The incident has sparked concerns among the university community regarding security measures and the safety of students residing in the hostels.

Two yet-to-be-identified female friends have drowned in a river while making a TikTok video where they acted as being possessed by marine spirits.

It was gathered that the girls were hanging out with two guys, identified simply as Goodluck and Daniel, when they decided to go into the river and make videos for TikTok.

While at it, sources who spoke with Instablog9ja said the girls began sinking, despite the river having a very low depth.

The two eyewitnesses are said to have fled the scene and left the girls to their fate.

In a graphic video obtained, the lifeless body of one of the girls was pulled out of the water while the other one is still missing.

Goodluck has since been apprehended by the police while Daniel is currently on the run.

Self-styled prophet, Fire Ogya has got the last laugh at Ghanaians after Black Stars played a drawn game with Mozambique in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Prior to the game, the prophet predicted Black Stars will not qualify for the round of 16 in the AFCON tournament, as the game will end in a draw.

A skit maker simply identified as Churchill fell to his death while trying to perform a skit on a basketball court.

In a viral video which captured his last moments, Churchhill could be seen dropping his phone on the ground before proceeding to jump and touch the basketball net.

A former New Patriotic Party (NPP) deputy General Secretary, Nana Obiri Boahen, has threatened legal action against the Dormaahene, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II.

This comes after the Paramount Chief announced that, seven traditional leaders hence forth have severed ties with the Berekum Traditional Council.

The decision he explained, is in connection with an injunction initiated by the Council which restrained him from attending the funeral of the late Berekum chief in November.

The Dormaahene who is the President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs made the declaration at the 2023 end-of-year review meeting.

Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II said the decision will be rescinded if only the Berekum Traditional Council comes out with a better explanation.

Reacting to this, Obiri Boahen stated unequivocally that, the Dormaahene has no authority to make such pronouncement.

Accrding to him, the right thing for the chief to have done is a fair hearing before making a decision.

The NPP man has therefore vowed to head to court to challenge the decision as a native from the Bono region and legal practitioner.

“I am not the spokesperson for the Berekum Tradition Council but he can’t cut ties before asking them to appear. Why did he mention only seven chiefs? What about the rest? This is much ado about nothing” he fumed.

“This is fear mongering, empty noise and it must stop. I will go to court before Christmas to have the decision quashed,” Nana Obiri Boahen stated in an interview on Accra-based Peace FM.

A video of a Ghanaian funeral ceremony in which a coffin in the shape of a mortar was carried by men has gone viral on social media.

The video, which was seen on Instagram, shows the coffin being carried into the grave in an unidentified town.

The coffin was neatly carved with the name, Sarah Ama Serwaa, believed to be that of the deceased written on it.

The video has sparked a debate on social media about the shape of the coffin. Others also found it humorous.

Some people have commented that the coffin is a reflection of the deceased’s love for fufu, but others have said that it is simply a way for the family to depict her job as a chop bar operator.

A video of former President John Agyekum Kufuor crying passionately as guests visited his Peduase residence to commiserate with him over the death of his wife has gone viral.

The former First Lady, Theresa Aba Kufuor, died on Sunday, October 1, 2023, aged 88.

The news of her demise despite her old age has left many hearts broken, particularly her husband.

The video shared on TikTok by Maameachampoma, captured Mr Kufuor in a brown and black long-sleeve shirt, seated next to his brother and former Defence Minister, Dr Kwame Addo Kufuor.

Other family members were also present, as scores of sympathisers trooped to the house to mourn with him.

Amidst an indistinct conversation, Mr Kufuor broke down in tears while his brother, who was by his side, comforted him.

It was a dramatic turn of events after a yet-to-be-identified fetish priest attempted to stop a demolition exercise by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) at Nima.

The fetish priest was arrested by the police on Wednesday after he was reportedly invited by residents to halt the process.

A video from the scene that has gone viral on social media captured a visibly furious-looking fetish priest being followed by a crowd who cheered him on.

The fetish priest was spotted in his underpants, with a red cloth wrapped around his waist, and herbs coiled around his neck, briskly walking with powder covering his face.

Amidst the cheers from the crowd, he was seen pouring out the components of a bottle he was holding in his hand, perceived to be local gin, ‘akpeteshiie, as he approached the demolition site.

In a confrontation with policemen who were present to supervise the exercise, an order for him to retreat fell on deaf ears.

One of the policemen, believed to be the leader of the team, then ordered for him to be whisked away.

The action, however, did not deter him from protesting the demolition as he screamed out his opposition, saying this is the property of Bio.

Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, has expressed worry over the continuous extortion and corruption at the Passport Office.

On the back of this, Madam Ayorkor Botchwey has relieved staff who were seconded to the passport office of their duties.

The Minister has directed that effective Monday, August 21, 2023, these employees should not report to work because they have been changed.

Notably, she cautioned employees who had worked at the Passport Office for more than a year to stay off work as part of measures to bring sanity.

“Everybody who has been here for more than one year, from Monday on, please do not come back because you have been changed. We want to restore some sanity. Every time politicians are corrupt, meanwhile, it is some public civil servants who will do things that shouldn’t be done, and then they will be put on politicians,” she directed.

This was after a visit to the passport office on Monday, where the Minister expressed her shock at the unfair procedures that employees there subject applicants to.

She bemoaned that, through the collaborative effort of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia the Ministry has been able to digitise the passport acquisition process.

However, some people are deliberately manipulating the system for their gain.

The Minister hinted investigations have commenced into the criminal activities with some names already coming up.

The investigations, she noted, has shown the existence of a network that was working with Passport Office employees, adding that she was shocked at the widespread notion that only politicians and her ministry were responsible for corruption.

“It is disheartening that while blame is often laid at the feet of politicians, it is, in fact, some public servants who engage in these wrongful acts, which are then mistakenly attributed to politicians,” she lamented.

She added investigations into the “goro boys,” who prey on applicants with the help of office staff, are still ongoing and moving forward.

The Minister said she is convinced there is cooperation with certain personnel at the Passport Office because these outside players cannot work alone.

She has, therefore, issued a warning that those found guilty will face legal action as a deterrent to others.

This development is as a result of gullies created in front of the house by rainwater which has also washed off portions of the road.

Some Ghanaians have accused the President of double standard given his reaction during the 2023 Green Ghana Day event when a chief did not stand up for the anthem.

However, others said there was nothing wrong with the video.

During the national anthem, the president spotted the chief of Mempeasem in Accra, Nii Torgbor Obodai Ampaw, and his elders seated.

At the event on June 9 2023, a visibly angry President Akufo-Addo directed the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey to take action.

Many have since questioned why the President couldn’t call his daughter to order under the circumstance.

Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama and National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, are still basking in euphoria over their victory in the Assin North bye-election.

Members of the Food Suppliers Association have demonstrated they are in no time backing down on their picketing at the National Food Buffer Stock Company.

They have fulfilled their threat to bring utensils to cook at the premises where they claim to feel safe than their homes.

The National President, speaking on Adom FM’s Burning Issues, said although they sleep under no roof and are bitten by mosquitoes, no one chases them, unlike their homes where creditors are always on their necks.

On Thursday, some members decided to bring foodstuff while others brought mortar and other kitchen items to facilitate the cooking of their boiled yam and tomato stew.

In a video shared on Twitter by Accra-based Metro TV, the protesters who appeared unbothered went about their cooking comfortably and engaged in hearty conversations.

A middle-aged woman was captured peeling yam while others had also commenced processes to prepare the stew.

A yet-to-be-identified motor rider has reportedly been burnt to death in a fatal accident on the Haatso-Atomic road in the Greater Accra region.

The incident is said to have occurred in a head-on collision with a Honda Accord vehicle.

The rider was thrown and trapped under the vehicle due to the impact of the crash, causing a fire at the scene.

A video shared on Twitter by SikaOfficial1 captured Fire Service personnel at the scene working tirelessly to quench the fire.

The Honda driver reportedly fled the scene while the motor rider burnt and couldn’t be rescued.

An unsuspecting rider was attacked at knifepoint at about 4:00am by two unmasked men under the pretext of being passengers.

One of the robbers approached the rider as Emmanuel and managed to convince the driver he is the same ‘Samuel Ike’ who hailed the ride.

Upon giving the permission to enter the backseat, he was joined in by the second robber who immediately launched the attack.

They pulled a knife on the rider while requesting for him to hand over his phone.

The reluctant rider, amid screams for help, attempted to fight off the robbers.

The two-minute footage ended with the rider chasing the robbers while alerting the community of the development.

An aspirant in the ongoing National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries in the Atti Twifo Morkwa constituency has allegedly shared gas cylinders for delegates.

A video intercepted by Adomonline.com showed a truck loaded with the cylinders parked at the polling centre.

Delegates trooped to the truck and took turns to receive the 5-kilogram cylinders which were being distributed.

The development comes amid viral reports of money sharing in some constituencies perceived to influence the votes of delegates.

On April 26 some 24 years ago, Barima Kwaku Duah was enstooled and sworn in as the Overlord of the Asante Kingdom and his identity changed to His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

A total of 600 teachers have benefited from Otumfuo Teachers’ Awards across Ghana to help improve human resource development.

Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mark Okraku-Mantey, has cut the sod for the construction of an ultra-modern open-air amphitheatre in Kumasi on April 26, 2023.

According to him, the project which forms part of the New Patriotic Party’s manifesto to build five (5) Amphitheatres across the country, will be completed by July 2023.

Making the promise at the sod-cutting ceremony which took place at the Centre for National Culture in Kumasi, Mr Okraku-Mantey assured Ghanaians the project will be done on time.

“This amphitheatre is supposed to start any moment and by the end of July 2023, it should be ready. I repeat we are cutting sod in the next 10 to 15 mins and by July 2023, it should be ready,” he confirmed.

Meanwhile, highlighting its capacity, the amphitheatre is expected to contain a maximum of 1,000 people.

“It will carry a maximum of 1,000 people. We can choose to do some side and side depending on the type of event we have,” he explained.

The event, nonetheless, was graced by dignitaries such as Kumasi Mayor Sam Pyne; Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC), Mr Kwadwo Antwi; Executive Secretary of the National Film Authority, Juliet Yaa Asantewaa Asante and Ghana Tourism Development Project (GTDP), Nana Sarfo Kantanka, who is the project coordinator (MoTAC).

The list continued with the President of the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG), James Aboagye, and Kumawood actor and producer Bill Asamoah among other industry players who thronged to support the cause in the Ashanti Region.

Speaking at the venue, Mr Okraku-Mantey reiterated President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has the Creative Industry at heart saying, the amphitheatre will act as a source of venue for performances and other forms of entertainment and also aid Industry players to plan for events.

Another factor he emphasised was job creation to boost the Industry’s economy, which forms a prime drive of the New Patriotic Party.

Throwing light on some of the achievements of the First Man in the country towards arts, the Deputy Tourism and Creative Arts Minister said: “President Akufo-Addo promised the creative arts law and on 20^th December 2020 the bill was passed. The same Akufo-Addo promised the Creative Arts School, today it is almost 70 per cent done.

“Now NFA has an office and a managing director. During Covid times, grants that came in weren’t for Creative arts, but it was extended to us and a lot of people benefited from that,” he said.

Background 

On Wednesday, October 19, 2022, the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Dr Mohammed Awal, announced at a press briefing that the government would be building five multipurpose domes or amphitheatres in 2022.

“We are going to build 5 amphitheatres and domes. One area that we lack in this industry is that we don’t have multipurpose venues for activities. We’re going to 5 this year. The process has already begun to procure supplies,” he announced.

“This year, we do 5 amphitheatres, then we do another 5 next year. So by 2024, we would have all 16 regions to give our artistes venues to perform,” he added.

The minister indicated that this would help create jobs and opportunities for Ghanaians.

The issue of theatres or performance centres has been of prime concern to creatives in the country, as they keep holding governments accountable on promises to provide such facilities.

So far, as said in the NPP manifesto, five (5) Amphitheatres will be built this year; two (2) in Accra, one (1) in  Kumasi, one (1) in Takoradi and one (1) in Tamale.

A CCTV footage has exposed the perpetrators of the K.K Gold agency gold robbery incident that rocked Tarkwa some days ago.

About five men masked with helmets and face wears were captured on one portion of the CCTV calmly entering into the gold-buying shop, bypassing some unsuspecting persons there.

They later held the occupants at gunpoint and proceeded to manhandle them after ordering them to lay on the ground.

Three of the men were captured robbing the victims of their possessions while the remaining collected some cash and gold into a black backpack they were carrying.

One of the suspects could be seen smacking and stomping a victim.

A security guard managed to flee, alerting persons outside and nearby of the ongoing crime.

The nearby persons all took to their heels, leaving the victims to their fate.

Meanwhile, three of the robbers have been arrested and identified.

An elderly couple have become social media sensation following a video of their wedding which has gone viral.

The yet-to-be-identified oldies ambled along the aisle while receiving standing ovation from the guests who sang in excitement.

The bride, who was assisted with a walking aid in one hand, had a firm grip of her husband to maintain her balance.

She was rocking a white gown and bouquet and her outfit was complemented with a long veil and crown.

Their viral video has since set tongues wagging on social media with many chorusing that God’s time is the best.

Many social media users are upset that phones started charging in churches as soon as a man of God gave the order for phones to charge.

In a video that has gained popularity on social media, a man of God who was delivering a sermon ordered the congregation’s phones to start charging

Immediately after he said this, people’s phones allegedly started doing so.

A member of the congregation testified that although her phone had a low battery, it began to charge when the cleric ordered the phones to do so and as a result, her battery level increased.

Social media users, upon seeing the video, were infuriated stating that God had been insulted and it is due to things like these that people disrespect Christianity.

When a couple held an indoor wedding reception, they least envisaged things could go horribly wrong.

The wedding reception came to an abrupt end when fire which stared from the decoration fabrics swept through the auditorium.

Per reports, the fire was lit to a firecracker by the event organizers when it was time for the couple’s to toast.

In the videos currently in circulation, the decoration drapes were burnt and the entire hall was lit with fire.

The MC could be heard signaling guests to move out quickly using the nearest exit available.

No casualty was recorded.

A video of President Nana Akufo-Addo trying to blow the sparkler on his birthday cake has caused hilarious reactions.

The first gentleman of the land marked his 79th birthday on March 29.

A milestone which earned him prayers and goodwill messages from Ghanaians and social media users.

However, a new video which has popped up on Twitter has captured Akufo-Addo in the company of his wife Rebecca, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and a few friends celebrating the day.

His daughter and owner of the famous luxury restaurant NsuomNam, Edwina Akufo-Addo was also present.

In the video shared on Twitter by Sikaofficial1, loud cheers were heard as the Addo show boy as he is affectionately called stretched out his body towards the cake to blow out the flames.

A suspected thief reportedly froze and became immobile for hours in an attempt to steal in the Drobo area in the Jaman South Municipality of the Bono Region.

Reports indicate the suspect was about to steal from a landlord’s room when the strange incident happened.

It is said the landlord in recent times has had a lot of belongings mysteriously going missing.

He, therefore, decided to cast a spell at the entrance of his room to help catch the unrepentant thief if he or she decides to return.

It was indeed an every day for the thief, one day for the owner scenario as luck eluded the young man, believed to be in his 20s, who got stuck in his expedition.

The incident is said to have occurred at about 8:00 pm but the suspect stood for almost 24 hours, causing his hand and feet to swell.

Maria Claire Rupio, the widow of Christian Atsu, the late Chelsea and Newcastle star, broke down and could not continue to read the tribute to her husband at his burial at the forecourt of the State House in Accra.

Marie-Claire Rupio was mobbed by sympathisers as she carried one of her children, flanked by two other kids and her mother to read the tribute.

However, she broke down and started weeping when she started to read the tribute.

Atsu’s sister took over from her and read the tribute.

Mrs Rupio Twasam, an author, was accompanied to the funeral grounds by two other family members.

At least 59 migrants, including 12 children, have died and dozens more are feared missing after their boat sank in rough seas off southern Italy.

The vessel broke apart while trying to land near Crotone on Sunday. Migrants from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia and Iran were on board.

A baby was among the dead, Italian officials said.

Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi, who visited the scene, said as many as 30 people may still be missing.

Bodies were recovered from the beach at a nearby seaside resort in the Calabria region.

The coastguard said 80 people had been found alive, “including some who managed to reach the shore after the sinking”.

The exact number of people who were on the boat, which had sailed from Turkey several days ago, is not clear.

Rescue workers told the AFP news agency that the vessel had been carrying “more than 200 people”, which would mean more than 60 people unaccounted for.

Many of the migrants were fleeing very difficult conditions, Italy’s president said.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif referenced reports that more than two dozen Pakistanis were among the dead, and called the news “deeply concerning and worrisome”. He instructed Pakistan’s diplomats to “ascertain facts as early as possible”.

The vessel is reported to have sunk after it crashed against rocks during rough weather, sparking a large search-and-rescue operation on land and at sea.

Video footage shows timber from the wreckage that had been smashed into pieces washing up on the beach, along with parts of the hull.

Survivors are seen huddled under blankets, attended to by Red Cross workers. Some have been taken to hospital.

“There had been landings but never a tragedy like this,” the mayor of Cruto, Antonio Ceraso, told Rai News.

One survivor was arrested on migrant trafficking charges, customs police said.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni – elected last year partly on a pledge to stem the flow of migrants into Italy – expressed “deep sorrow” and blamed the deaths on traffickers.

“It is inhumane to exchange the lives of men, women and children for the price of the ‘ticket’ they paid in the false perspective of a safe journey,” she said in a statement.

“The government is committed to preventing departures, and with them the unfolding of these tragedies, and will continue to do so.”

Ms Meloni’s right-wing government has vowed to stop migrants reaching Italy’s shores and in the last few days pushed through a tough new law tightening the rules on rescues.

Carlo Calenda, Italy’s former economy minister, said people in difficulty at sea should be rescued “whatever the cost”, but added that “illegal immigration routes must be closed”.

European Commission President Ursula van der Leyen said she was “deeply saddened” by the incident, adding that the “loss of life of innocent migrants is a tragedy”. She said it was crucial to “redouble our efforts” to make progress on reforming EU asylum rules to tackle the challenges regarding migration to Europe.

Pope Francis, who often defends the rights of migrants, has said he is praying for the dead, the missing and those who survived.

According to monitoring groups, more than 20,000 people have died or gone missing at sea in the central Mediterranean since 2014.

Regina Catrambone, director of the Migrant Offshore Aid Station, which carries out search and rescue operations in the Mediterranean, told the BBC that European countries must work together to help those in need.

She also called for an end to the “myopic vision” that says that countries that are physically closer to Africa and the Middle East should take the lead on tackling the issue.

“Still there is no co-operation among the European states to actively co-ordinate together to go and help the people in need,” she said, urging governments to work together to improve search and rescue efforts and develop safe and legal routes.

In a viral video on social media, the irate lady said she went out to buy gari in the night.

She, however, realised it was chicken feed when she came home to prepare her soakings and eat.

In the video, though her face was not seen, she was heard expressing her anger when she poured the fake gari into her mug, mixed it with water and began stirring.

The Ghanaian bride, tied the knot on January 7, 2023, in an elegant gown.

The gorgeous bride is the granddaughter of the late Asantehene Otumfuo Opoku Ware II and the daughter of the newly appointed ambassador from Ghana to the Russian Federation.

The customary wedding was held at the Manhyia Palace on December 31, 2022, with the Asantehene Osei Tutu II and her Lady Julia present at the royal gathering.

The chief executive officer of one of Ghana’s biggest pastry companies, Barima Osei Mensah of Adinkra Pie graced the event in his kente ensemble.

The couple Kwadwo and Emily were photographed in looked ethereal in their kente outfits as they danced beautifully after the first session of the traditional marriage.

The granddaughter of the late Otumfuo Opoku Ware II, after her traditional marriage tied the knot with her fiancé, Mr. Kwadwo Amponsah, in a plush ceremony held in Accra.

It was witnessed by the crème de la crème, including president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his wife Rebecca, The first lady of the Ashanti kingdom, Otumfuo-Yere Julia Osei Tutu, Diplomats, Royals, and so on.

The bride is said to be a lawyer and an economist; however, little is known of the groom.

The mother of the bride, Dr. Leslie Oheneba Akyaa Opoku Ware, is the daughter of the late Nana Opoku Ware II, the 15th King of the Ashanti Kingdom.

She is a medical doctor and currently Ghana’s Ambassador Plenipotentiary to Russia.

A policeman has been captured being assaulted by a ‘trotro’ driver and his mate in a video that is currently in circulation.

The incident reportedly happened when the police officer is said to have approached the driver as part of official motor check duties.

Reports indicate that the officer accosted the driver for road traffic offence and commanded them to follow him to the station.

However, the driver reportedly declined and proceeded to assault the police officer.

In the viral video, the driver, with the assistance of his mate, manhandled the officer before plunging him to the ground.

While one of them pinned him down, the other could be seen smacking and dragging the helpless uniformed man as they appear to retrieve what is believed to be their car key from the policeman.

It took the intervention of some bystanders to free the policeman from the grips of his abusers.

It is unclear when the incident took place, but netizens have described the behaviour as unacceptable.

Irate residents at Jei-Krodua in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region have arrested a 25-year-old man over the death of a pregnant goat.

Information gathered by Adom News indicates the suspect, Kofi Brondy, stole the goat in the area and is believed to have killed it to prevent it from bleating to draw attention.

Police said, the youth spotted the suspect with a sack on his neck and accosted him on Sunday afternoon.

Upon interrogation, he was forced to open the sack which exposed the crime.

The irate residents indicated the suspect has been on a Police wanted list for the past two years over the same crime.

Suspected armed robbers invaded a Seventh Day Adventist Church in Johannesburg, South Africa while the pastor was preaching.

The incident took place at the church located two streets from Noord Taxi Rank on Saturday afternoon, November 26, 2022.

According to Harare Live, the six gunmen disguised themselves as visitors and, as the service began, they drew their weapons and ordered the pastor and the entire congregation to sit down.

The visibly shaken pastor complied with the robbers while the church camera captured the incident.

Snippets of the released video captured the pastor preaching on the need for God’s direction when one has to pursue an appointment when the gunmen erupted the church into chaos.

The video captured the unseen men cocking their guns while the visibly shaken pastor managed to sit, as instructed by the men.

Noises were also heard from the obviously agitated congregants.

Local reports indicate that the robbers made away with phones, wallets, and tithe money.

Some military persons brought some fun to a wedding reception of one of their colleagues when they took over the dancefloor to show their off-service skills.

The uniformed men, part being groomsmen, gathered around the newly wedded couple to have the time of their lives.

The well-built men put all seriousness and fearfulness to the side as they dance to Nigerian artiste, Skibii’s melodious Sinsima .

They choreographed beautifully while bending and throwing their feet to the air as the excited guests cheer them on.

What was meant to be a joyous birthday celebration went sour when the actions of the celebrant and friends cost an entire bar and hotel.

According to reports, the celebrant who had lodged in the area was spraying flammable substances while shooting knockouts in a nearby bush.

Unfortunately, one of the lighted knockouts reacted with the flammable substance, causing it to go up in flames.

In no time, the entire bar and hotel beside the bushes caught fire rapidly as the celebrants, his friends and the affected business owners watched on helplessly.

Videos shared online captured the moment the fire was grazing through the properties with no fire tender or any attempts to salvage the situation.

According to reports, no life was lost, but the hotel and bar burned down to ashes.

A groom, whose identity is not immediately known, went berserk during his wedding after discovering his bride is a mother-of-two.

The distraught groom who could not fathom how his lover hid such a big news from him cancelled the wedding last minute.

In a trending video, he could be seen lamenting before the bride and some other guests who were pleading with him to rescind his decision.

“There is nothing you can tell me. You can’t convince me, we are ending it here,” he charged as he proceeded to take off his shoes and walk away.

According to him, he trusted his lover for which he feels betrayed she hid not one, but two children from him.

The bride broke into uncontrollable tears when the groom revealed he would be visiting her family to take back his bride price.
